Karen Kroplinski is a graduate from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (B.F.A.). Always referred to as an artist since childhood, she has been pursuing her distinctive artistic talent nearly all her life. She is now proud to have had her work included in the recent "Women's Show +2" Exhibition at MORA (Museum of Russian Art). Her passion for art and artistic inspiration has led her to many places including the Sistine Chapel in Rome, which greatly influenced her religious works, and the Alaskan wilderness where she both studied and photographed wild grizzly bears. Her subjects include religion, spirituality, the human form, nature, wildlife and the role man's advances in technology play in the way we view art, nature and life and how we interact with it. As both a photographer and painter, her art evokes the consciousness and reflection of one's inner self, one's spiritual being, as she attempts to lead the viewer to an unearthly, spiritual realm.
