I have updated my Art Website today! I have added my latest drawing titled, "THE STORM, NATURE, DESTRUCTION, AND THE FOUR ELEMENTS (EARTH, AIR, FIRE, &WATER)". This drawing was done during my evacuation when Hurricane Sandy hit New Jersey! I have also added some videos during the Hurricane to go along with this drawing which greatly influenced the subject matter in this particular work. We lost power shortly after making these videos and my drawing was done in a dark room by flashlight! I am now going to be switching to oil painting to add color to my images! I may even be turning some of my drawings into paintings....or perhaps variations of them! I will also be working on finishing the "large" paintings also! MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL&ELABORATE ARTWORK TO COME! STAY TUNED!

MORE NEW BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK THAT I CREATED WHILE I WAS EVACUATED FROM HURRICANE SANDY POSTED TOMORROW! AND VIDEOS FROM HURRICANE SANDY ALSO! I will be updating my Art Website tomorrow with new pics of myself also! ....................SO STAY TUNED!!!
As the Holiday Season approaches I can reflect on certain events both past and present. I deeply mourn the death of my dear little cat "Checkers" and regret that he has passed and cannot share this joyous holiday season with me. I reflect this sadness in my latest drawing, "DARK TEARS". Shortly after his death, I had a dream that he was indeed "not dead" and I was celebrating the fact that I "thought" he was still alive and with me.... Unfortunately, this was just a "dream", but perhaps my cat's spirit came to me in the form of a dream to show me that he was "OK". On the plus side, I also have the childhood memory of shopping for a Christmas tree with my dad down Route 22 in New Jersey and getting a nice cup of hot chocolate afterwards! This is a "memory", a "good" memory that I still have with me to cherish as the years pass. Now on the "FUNNY" side, I also have the memory of "missing" one our annual Christmas tree "hunts" when I went to a friends birthday party when I was around 6 or 7 . When my father picked me up from the birthday party and drove me home, he had our annual "real" tree leaning against the outside of our house to which I replied, "ew, what a puny tree!"! Of course I did not have the perception of how really "BIG" the tree actually was! This tree was so "BIG" and "HIGH" we actually had to "saw off" the bottom to make it fit in the living room! So in the end, I was very pleased with the tree! This was also a "good" memory that I cherish and hope more good memories to come in the future!
Well, I usually do not go out on Black Friday, but this year I made an exception due to incredible sales at the art store! Must wash&wax my car before the winter weather sets in & touch up a small crack in the paint. THEN.....I will begin some serious oil painting! I am almost ready to post my latest drawing which I think you all will love!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!!!!!! HAVE A NICE DAY EVERYBODY WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS! I stayed up late last night with my latest art project drawing. It is beautiful and I hope to post it soon, but continuing to fine tune it with little details! It is sure to impress you! Then I will move onto color again with my oil painting! I am confident and spiritually inspired by God and other artists to create some really great work for all of you to see and enjoy! AGAIN, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!
Finishing my latest drawing, but getting anxious to get back to oil painting again! I have some exciting new work in mind! I will try to post my newest drawing soon along with my videos of the storm! I have been updating the rest of my Art Website! Adding the my newest drawings in the "Drawings" section under "My Work". And of course adding some of my newest drawings to the "After Midnight" section!
Hearing the church bells this morning and re-discovering one of my favorite artists, Abbott Handerson Thayer. He has painted some of the most amazing religious images I have ever seen, such as, "Angel", as well as other non-religious images such as, "The Sisters" (which I had the privilage of seeing in person at the Brooklyn Museum of Art), which have a very unique, unusual quality about them. There is an exhibition in Newark of his work along with other artists, "Angels and Tomboys", which I would love to see. I love to sometimes combine the "metaphoric" with "spiritual" imagery in my artwork. I also enjoy doing "literal" representations of religion. I have plans to do some really amazing religious oil paintings even more so now that I have been inspired again by this amazing artist!!
I will be switching to oil painting after completing and posting my newest drawings. I find that some of my drawings would look incredible when done in color, so I may either re-create them in oils or use the drawings as a guide to do a more elaborate, complex version of them. I will also be creating new work in oils as well as working on the "large" paintings that are already in progress.
I am finishing up some new drawings I have done during my evacuation from Hurricane Sandy&the Noreaster! I will be posting them soon along with some videos of the storm! The drawing I posted today, "DARK TEARS" illustrates and commemorates my feelings for my cat "Checkers" who recently died of cancer. It was a quick sketch/drawing that was spontaniously drawn yesterday as I remembered how my cat "Checkers" used to look up at me so sweetly when I delicately brushed his fur. Well, thinking of this memory, I burst into tears and noticed how dark, and blood red my eyes would get......thus I "enhanced" this effect in my drawing to get the point accross of how bad I felt.
Organizing the house after Hurricane Sandy&the Noreaster. Bringing some things back downstairs and organizing them. I definitely feel Graced by God to have survived these storms! I am also very grateful that we did not have any flooding! We were prepared for the most part, but it still would have been quite devastating had more damage occurred! Fortunately I was able to be evacuated to a place where I could BE CREATIVE AND DO SOME DRAWING! I was also able to take some VIDEOS during the storm which I would like to post in addition to the drawings! ONE QUITE SCARY ASPECT OF HURRICANE SANDY WAS THAT THE LOCATION I WAS EVACUATED TO BECAME LIKE "AN ISLAND" DURING THE STORM.......IT WAS UP HIGH ENOUGH NOT TO BE FLOODED, BUT THE THOUGHT OF THE WATER COMING UP SO HIGH WAS UNNERVING TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!! There is another Noreaster coming next week! ......But fortunately it is not supposed to be that bad !
