How does an artist determine what "size" to make his artwork. Is "size" relevant to the "intensity" of the meaning behind the work of art? Is the artist just more "comfortable" working within a certain parameter of size? Is it merely "quicker" to do a "smaller" piece? For me as an artist, alot of times I feel that in order to "express" the "intensity" and "seriousness" of the subject matter, I must do a large piece! I like the "boldness" of a large piece! However, larger pieces can take alot of time and patience. A large, intricate piece is not an art project to be taken lightly!
