THE ARTIST'S BLOG: Creative Moments and Thoughts of the Artist!

With Good Friday and Easter coming up, I have been thinking about God alot lately!  A couple of days ago I heard the church bells ringing outside my window again!  They are always very "faint", but very beautiful.  It is almost as if God is saying to me, "I may seem far away, but I am still here...I am still with you!"  I always take the sign of the ringing of the church bells as a positive one.  Still, I ask myself many questions about God and life on Earth.  I always wonder why there are so many different degrees of pleasure and suffering for each of us.  Each different for every one of us.  The world is filled with both "good" and "evil", and has many paths for us to choose.  The way in which we proceed with our lives is the degree to which our "SPIRITUAL SELVES"  are developed and "tested" by God.  Perhaps the answer lies in each one of us "taking" Christ "into" ourselves as the Apostles took the "bread and wine" of Christ's "flesh and blood" at the "Last Supper".  We can do this through prayer, communion, etc. so as to protect us and "guide" us through life.  We take him into us on Earth, and we become a part of God in Heaven!
I have been extremely motivated and making great strides with my art and my new oil painting I am working on!  I have a good part of the fairly large 4ftx6ft painting finished and I am making decisions and changing certain aspects of it.  I have some additional sketches and studies for this painting which I may post  before I show the actual finished oil painting.  Also finishing some of the larger, older paintings as well.  I am working towards making this a VERY productive year and hope to  finish a good number of paintings of various sizes!  I am working very hard, but enjoying the process!
